danger danger high voltage

Forget about middle names, the first name of these boot's is Danger! Rachel Comey has managed to craft yet another show stopper, this time in teal leopard print pony hair. The combination is beyond stunning. Worn with basics these boots stand out as an edgy punk rock statement piece. My friends always ask after spotting them in my closet, "what do you wear those with?" My answer is: everything! The Dangerfield boots are as perfect with a striped men's shirt, cropped biker jacket and skinny jeans as they are with a contrasting patterned dress in a lady-like shape. I love the way they make any outfit more exciting, more dangerous!

Moon Landing: Risto Bimbiloski

{fig. 1 & 2} Risto Bimbiloski runway from the Risto website {fig. 3} Uranus by Julius Hartmann via tumblr

Dear Risto, thank you for these amazing digital prints of the moon's surface! There is nothing I'd rather wear more than those digital prints on fluttery silks, in delicious un-moon-like colors. I spotted this collection at Opening Ceremony, and at first glance suspected the prints were rain drops in puddles, but on further inspection discovered that Risto Bimbiloski has used the surface of the moon for inspiration! How fabulous is it to drift across a room covered in craters from that very thing we gaze upon in wonder when it hangs from the night sky. These prints are all that and a bag of chips!

Okay, you caught me. That's an old-timey encyclopedia image of Uranus, not the moon, but the texture of the surface is reminiscent of Risto's moon print, so I had to share and compare. What can I say, I'm all about prints mimicking celestial bodies for wear on my own body.
